5 Tips for Photographing Your Baby
Candid photos are the best. But a little bit of technique helps a lot to capture the cuteness with clarity.
1. Natural Light is Everything
Avoid flash. The soft light from a window in the morning is perfect. Position the baby so the light comes from the side or softly from the front (never from behind, unless you want a silhouette).
2. Get on Their Level
Get down. Photos taken from above can be cute, but being at eye level creates a much stronger connection.
3. Details
Don't focus only on the face.
- Little feet (classic!)
- Little hands holding your finger
- Eyelashes sleeping
4. The Setting Matters (but not too much)
Less is more. A white sheet or a neutral-colored blanket highlights the baby. Avoid messy backgrounds that steal attention.
5. Have Patience
Babies have their own timing. If they are crying, stop, calm them down, and try later. Comfort comes first.
